Community Guidelines

Last updated: 27 September 2026 · Version 1.0

The GoodShift app is built on trust between people who have often never met. These guidelines keep it safe, fair and professional for Shift Champs, Businesses and Clients alike.

1.Respect everyone

Treat every person on GoodShift with dignity. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech or offensive language, whether based on gender, religion, nationality, age or anything else, leads to suspension without a prior warning.

2.Show up and follow through

Shift Champs: if you are chosen for a shift or a mission, arrive on time and do your best work. Not showing up for work you were hired for, without notice, is a strike against your account, and three strikes close it. If something comes up, tell the poster in the chat as early as you can. Businesses and Clients: once you choose a Champ, the work is committed. The Champ is counting on you and may already have turned other work down. Cancelling work you have hired someone for is recorded and can count against your reliability and toward strikes.

3.Be honest

One account per person, and represent yourself truthfully. Do not misrepresent your skills, experience or identity. Posters must describe the work, the place, the pay, the hours and the pay terms accurately: what you post is what the Champ agrees to.

4.Leave fair reviews

Reviews help the whole community decide well. Leave honest, factual ratings based on the actual work. Do not threaten, bribe or pressure anyone into a positive review. Fake or retaliatory reviews are removed.

5.Pay what you agreed, on the terms you declared

GoodShift does not hold or pass on the money for the work. The poster pays the Champ directly, after the work, the amount shown on the posting, in the way and at the time the poster declared on the posting (cash, bank transfer or mobile money). Those pay terms are the poster's own promise, so only declare terms you will keep. • Posters: pay the full agreed amount, by the declared method, by the declared time. Do not change the amount or the terms after the work is done. • Shift Champs: when the app asks whether you received the amount, answer Paid or Not paid yet truthfully. GoodShift records these answers. It does not decide who is right about money, and it never collects or pays it on anyone's behalf.

6.Report payments truthfully

The Paid / Not paid yet answer, and any "Report unpaid", are records other people rely on: they shape a poster's "Pays on time" figure and can lead to strikes. The following are violations: • answering "Not paid yet", or reporting a shift as unpaid, when you were in fact paid; • pressuring, threatening or bargaining with a Champ to make them answer "Paid" before they have been paid; • any other false report about a payment, in either direction. If you have a disagreement about a payment, raise it with "Report a problem" on that shift rather than giving an answer that is not true.

7.Protect privacy

Do not share another person's details (phone number, address, identity document, photos or bank and mobile-money details) with anyone else. Anything you learn through GoodShift is for completing the work and paying for it, nothing else. Never ask for or share contact details in order to take the hiring itself off the platform.

8.Stay safe

While work is running, share the safety card with someone you trust. The emergency control dials your local emergency number from your own phone; nobody at GoodShift is notified by it, so call for help directly when you need it. Meet in the place the posting names, and tell the poster in chat if anything about the work differs from what was posted.

9.Report problems

If you see or experience a violation of these guidelines, use "Report a problem" on the shift, report the person in the app, or write to support@goodshift.work. We review every report and can act on conduct with a warning, a strike or a restriction.

10.Consequences

Violations may result in a notice, a warning, a restriction, a suspension or a permanent ban, depending on severity. Every action shows you its reason in the app, and you can appeal it there. GoodShift reserves the right to remove any account that endangers or degrades the community. These guidelines are written for the GoodShift app. Climo users follow the Terms of Service, Part C. By using GoodShift, you agree to uphold these standards. Thank you for being part of a community that works.
