Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 September 2026 · Version 4.0
These terms govern your use of GoodShift's products: the GoodShift app and Climo. They are written to be read, so please do.
Part A — For everyone
1.Who we are and what these terms cover
GoodShift is a software company based in Cairo, Egypt. We make two products:
• The GoodShift app: a marketplace where a Business or an individual Client posts work and chooses a Shift Champ to do it. The poster pays the Champ directly, outside the app; GoodShift is not part of that payment.
• Climo: a practice-management app for small clinics, with a patient side in the same app.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are one agreement between you and GoodShift. Parts A and D apply to everyone. Part B applies when you use the GoodShift app. Part C applies when you use Climo. Where a product-specific part says something different from a general part, the product-specific part applies to that product.

2.Accepting these terms
By creating an account, or by using either product, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the products.
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account in either product. A Climo clinic may keep records of a patient who is under 18 inside the clinic's own records, as described in Part C.
You may hold one account per product. Creating several accounts for the same person, or lending your account to someone else, is a violation of these Terms and may lead to every account involved being closed.
3.Accounts and mobile number verification
You may sign in with an email address and password, with Apple, or with Google. Whichever you choose, a verified mobile number is required in both products. After you create your account we send a one-time code by SMS to your number, and you must enter it before you can use the product.
Why we require it. The GoodShift app arranges in-person work: a poster who has chosen you needs a reliable way to reach you, and we need to reach you about your account and its security. In Climo, the mobile number is how a patient's link request is matched to the right person in a clinic's records.
What you consent to. By entering your number you consent to receive an automated one-time verification code by SMS. Standard message and data rates from your operator may apply; GoodShift does not charge for verification messages. We may also send you operational SMS about work you are involved in and about account security. We do not send marketing SMS, and we never sell or rent your number.
One number, one account. A mobile number can be verified on only one account per product at a time. Your number is never shown on a public profile, and in the GoodShift app it is not visible to other users, including a poster who has chosen you; contact happens in the in-app chat.
Keeping it current. You are responsible for keeping your number up to date and for telling us if you stop controlling it. If you cannot receive SMS, contact support@goodshift.work and we will verify your account another way.
Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Anyone who has them can act as you, and in Climo can read your clinic's records.
4.Your content
You may upload content: a profile photo, photos of your work, images for a posting, a clinic logo, catalogue photos, and, in Climo, patient records and their attachments. You keep ownership of what you upload. You grant GoodShift a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display it so the product can work, and to keep copies in backups for the period the Privacy Policy states.
You confirm that you have the right to upload each item, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that it follows our Community Guidelines.
5.Acceptable use
You must not:
• post false, misleading or fraudulent work, or misrepresent your identity, skills or experience;
• use the products for anything unlawful;
• harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone;
• try to access another person's account, another clinic's data, or data you are not meant to see;
• scrape, copy or reproduce product data;
• arrange to avoid the credit or posting rules, or report a payment falsely;
• store records in Climo that you have no right to keep, or send anything unlawful to a patient;
• work around the limits, gates or checks the products set.
A violation may lead to a warning, a restriction, a suspension or the closure of your account, as Part B and Part D describe.
Part B — The GoodShift app
6.The GoodShift app: the marketplace and the roles
The GoodShift app is a marketplace. The person who does the work is a Shift Champ. The person who posts the work is a Business (a company or venue) or a Client (an individual). A Business posts a Shift; a Client posts a Mission. One account can hold both roles, and you can switch between them.
GoodShift is not an employer, a staffing agency or a party to the work. A Shift Champ is an independent contractor of the poster; these Terms do not create an employer-employee relationship, a partnership or a joint venture between GoodShift and anyone, or between a poster and a Champ.
GoodShift is not a party to the payment either. The poster pays the Champ directly. GoodShift never holds, moves or guarantees that money, and never collects it or pays it on anyone's behalf. Each person is responsible for declaring their own income and paying any tax due on it.
7.Posting, applying and choosing a Champ
A poster describes the work accurately: the type, the place, the date and time, the pay, the pay terms (section 8), and what the Champ should bring. What you post is what the Champ agrees to. Publishing a posting uses a posting credit or a running 30-day pass (section 9).
Before their first posting, a Business signs the Business Client Agreement and an individual Client signs the Individual Provider Agreement inside the app, and each submits business or identity documents for review. Before their first application, a Shift Champ completes their profile, submits identity documents for review and completes the one-time activation (section 9). No bank, card or wallet details are asked for, because no money passes through GoodShift.
Submitting is what opens the gate; a review that is still pending does not block you. A declined submission reopens the gate until it is resubmitted.
A poster reviews the applications, the applicants' profiles, badges and reviews, and chooses one Champ. Choosing a Champ takes no payment in the app. Every other application to that work is then declined.
8.Pay terms and paying the Champ directly
Every posting states the pay and the pay terms: how the Champ will be paid (for example cash, bank transfer or mobile money) and when. The pay terms are the poster's own declaration. A Champ sees them before applying. By choosing a Champ, the poster agrees to pay the stated amount directly to that Champ, on those terms, after the work.
GoodShift does not check, hold, collect or pass on that money, and is not responsible if it is not paid. Any agreement about the money is between the poster and the Champ.
Paid or Not paid yet. When the work is finished, the app asks the Champ whether they received the stated amount. The Champ answers Paid or Not paid yet. That answer is the Champ's own record; GoodShift stores it and does not judge who is right.
Report unpaid. From the third day after the work, a Champ who has still not been paid can use Report unpaid. Unpaid reports count toward the poster's "Pays on time" figure, which other Champs can see, and may lead to strikes on the poster's account (section 12). A poster who believes a report is wrong can use Report a problem (section 13) and can appeal any action taken on their account.
Reporting a payment falsely, in either direction, is a violation of these Terms.
9.Purchases in the app
GoodShift earns money only by selling the following, through in-app purchase:
• Posting credits, sold in packs. One credit publishes one posting for one date.
• A 30-day pass: unlimited postings while it runs. It does not renew by itself.
• A 7-day boost, which shows a posting more prominently for 7 days.
• An Urgent badge, which marks a posting as urgent.
• For Shift Champs, one small one-time activation, the last step before a Champ can apply. Activation says the Champ is committed. It does not buy placement, ranking, trust or a "verified" status.
GoodShift takes nothing from the pay between a poster and a Champ, and sells nothing else in the GoodShift app.
Who sells them. These purchases are sold and charged by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), under their own terms, and they handle the payment. Prices are shown in the app, in your local currency, as the store sets them, before you confirm. We may change prices; a change never affects a purchase already made. We use RevenueCat to process the records of these purchases.
Returns of store purchases. Refunds of store purchases follow the store's own refund policy, and requests go to Apple or Google. GoodShift cannot issue them.
Free and returned credits. A new poster account receives a few free credits. If nobody applies to a posting in time, as the app shows, its credit comes back to your balance. A returned credit is not a refund: it is a credit you can use again, not money.
No cash value. Credits, passes, boosts and badges have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred to another account. When an account is closed, for any reason, its unused credits and any remaining time on a pass end.
10.Starting and finishing the work
Work is started with the app: the poster shows a start code and the Champ scans it, or, where there is no code, the Champ declares a start close to the work address. Arriving late is recorded but never refused.
Work is finished with the end-of-shift scan: the poster shows the completion code and the Champ scans it. That records the work as finished and brings up the question in section 8.
No money moves through GoodShift when work starts or finishes. The start and the finish are records of what happened, which both parties and our team can rely on later.
11.Cancellations
Before choosing a Champ, a poster may cancel or delete a posting at any time.
After a Champ is chosen, either side may still cancel. GoodShift charges nothing for a cancellation and moves no money because of one. A cancellation is recorded: late or repeated cancellations may count toward strikes and toward the reliability shown on a profile.
Cancel as early as you can, and tell the other person in the chat.
12.No-shows, strikes and account standing
A Shift Champ is expected to honour every shift or mission they are chosen for. A poster may report a Champ who did not show up, or who did not start on time; the report is reviewed.
When a no-show is upheld, the Champ's account receives a strike. Three strikes close the account. Strikes are visible to the Champ in their profile. There is no financial penalty, and no money changes hands through GoodShift because of a no-show. GoodShift may close an account without waiting for strikes for a severe violation.
A poster's standing works the same way and is reputational only: unpaid reports, cancellations and other upheld reports can lead to strikes and appear in the poster's reliability. A poster strike never takes money.
For conduct such as breaking the Community Guidelines, avoiding the posting rules or reporting falsely, an account may be placed on a ladder: notice, warning, restricted, suspended or banned. A notice restricts nothing. A restriction limits applying, posting and starting conversations for a set period. Suspensions and bans are decided by a person. Every action shows you why, in the app, and you may appeal it inside the app, including when you are banned. No rung of the ladder takes money from you.
13.Report a problem
If something goes wrong with a shift or a mission, either side can use Report a problem on that work. It opens a support conversation with our team.
Our team reviews the record: the posting, the chat, the start and finish records, the Paid or Not paid yet answer and any reports. GoodShift can act on conduct, with a warning, a strike or a restriction, as section 12 describes.
GoodShift does not decide who owes money to whom, and does not collect or pay money for either side. A disagreement about money is between the poster and the Champ, and, where needed, for the authorities of the country where the work took place.
14.Reviews and badges
After finished work, the poster and the Champ may each leave a public rating out of 5 and a written review. Reviews must be honest and based on the actual work. GoodShift may remove a review that contains false statements, personal attacks or breaks the Community Guidelines. Threatening, bribing or coercing someone into a review is a violation.
Badges shown on a profile are derived by our servers from real finished work, on-time starts and reviews. Nobody can buy, grant or edit a badge, including GoodShift staff. The one-time activation and the other purchases in section 9 never earn a badge.
15.Safety features
While work is running, either party may share a link to a page showing the other party's first name, photo, verification status, the type of work, the address and the time, with someone they trust. The page stops working when the work ends and, in any case, within 24 hours of the start. Sharing your live location on that page is optional and off every time.
The SOS control dials your local emergency number from your own phone, and does nothing else. GoodShift is not called, is not notified at the time and does not respond. GoodShift keeps a record of the work; it does not follow it live. Read the safety section of the Privacy Policy for what is recorded.
Part C — Climo
16.Climo: what it is
Climo is a practice-management tool for licensed practitioners and the patients who visit them. It stores records, bookings, a catalogue of services and products, and payment records, so a clinic can run its day. Climo is not a medical device. It gives no diagnosis, no treatment advice and no clinical decision; every clinical decision stays with the practitioner.
17.Clinic accounts and your responsibilities
A clinic account belongs to one practitioner, who is responsible for the accuracy of what is entered and for holding every licence, registration and permission their jurisdiction requires to practise and to keep patient records. A practitioner may add team members to the clinic; each signs in with their own number.
Patient accounts are for people aged 18 or over. A parent or guardian who manages a child's care does so through the clinic's own records, which the clinic keeps as the data controller.
We email the address on your account about your account and its security, and a practitioner about their clinic's review and subscription; these emails are part of the service and cannot be turned off while the account exists. Every other email can be turned off in Settings or from its unsubscribe link.
18.Patient data: who is responsible
Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, the practitioner (the clinic) is the data controller of every patient record entered into Climo, and GoodShift is the data processor acting on the clinic's instructions. The clinic decides what is recorded and why; we store and display it so the app can work.
By creating a clinic you confirm that you hold each patient's consent to keep their records, including photographs, in Climo, and that you are responsible for the records of any minor in your care. You instruct us to store the clinic's records on Google Cloud in the United States, and you confirm that the consent you hold covers that storage. We process patient records only on your instructions, keep them confidential, use only the sub-processors named in the Privacy Policy, delete them when your account ends as the Privacy Policy describes, and help you answer a patient's request about their own data.
Climo staff never read patient records. A patient who links to your clinic sees their own visits, packages and payments, and any note you choose to share with them.
19.Verification of your clinic
When you set up a clinic you give us its name, contact details, opening hours and business documents. We use the business documents only to check that the clinic is what it says it is. Until that check is finished your clinic shows as under review; you can use every feature meanwhile. We may decline or reverse a verification if the documents do not support it.
Your clinic's name, logo, brand colour, address, hours and catalogue are shown to patients who find you in the app. Do not put anything in them that you would not want a patient to read.
20.Your catalogue, your prices and payments between you and patients
You set your own services, products and packages, and your own prices. They are yours: we neither set nor take a share of them. Prices are held in your clinic's currency, which is fixed the first time you save a priced item. Stock counts and costs are private to you and the team members you allow.
Climo records payments. It never holds, moves or refunds money. An InstaPay transfer happens between your patient's bank and yours; a payment proof in Climo is a record that you accepted it, not a guarantee of settlement. Financial records are kept for 5 years with names removed, as the law requires.
21.Subscription and the free trial
A clinic subscription starts with a 14-day free trial once your clinic setup is complete, and is then billed through your Apple ID. Prices are shown in your local currency before you confirm. Cancelling stops future charges at the end of the paid period.
Deleting your Climo account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
After the trial ends without a subscription your clinic stays readable: you can open every record you already have, share its receipts as PDF files, and ask us in writing for a copy of your clinic's records. What stops is adding new things: new patients, visits, bookings, catalogue items and stock additions. Subscribing again restores them at once.
Part D — Ending the agreement and general terms
22.Ending the agreement
You may delete your account at any time from the app's settings.
In the GoodShift app, deletion never waits on money: GoodShift holds no money for you and owes you none through the app. Unused credits and any remaining time on a pass end with the account (section 9). Deleting an account does not change what a poster and a Champ agreed between themselves for work already done. Unpaid reports and the reliability history are kept as records. Once deletion goes through, your profile is anonymised and your personal data is erased within 30 days, as the Privacy Policy describes.
In Climo, deletion is scheduled 30 days ahead; signing back in before then restores everything. After 30 days the clinic's records are permanently deleted, and we can provide a copy of your records on request to support@goodshift.work before that date.
GoodShift may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law, with notice where we can give it.
23.Intellectual property
The products, their design, code, text, trademarks and logos belong to GoodShift. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from them without our written permission. Your own content stays yours (section 4).
24.Disclaimer
The products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure.
25.Limitation of liability
GoodShift is a marketplace and a record-keeping tool. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from a no-show, from a disagreement between users, from the quality of work, from a payment a poster did or did not make to a Champ, from pay terms a poster declared, from records that were entered wrongly, from a clinical decision, or from a payment a patient did not complete.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amounts you paid to GoodShift for in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
26.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoodShift, its affiliates, and its employees from any claims, damages or legal expenses arising from your use of the products, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with other users or patients.
27.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. The version and date at the top of this page change when we do, and a change that materially affects you is shown in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it.
28.Governing law and severability
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This does not take away any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
If any provision is found unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest of these Terms remains in force.
